Footsteps echo unevenly on concrete that remembers. Shadows stretch long where sunlight once danced. Dust hangs suspended, waiting patient. A faint hum lingers, low and persistent, like a memory just out of reach. The air carries scent of earth and forgotten things. Windows reflect only what little light leak exists inside. Something low thrums beneath the surface, pressing gently against the solid surface. Colors flicker just below perception, reflecting poorly. Movement feels hesitant, deliberate, or merely absent. Steps add tiny, sudden interference. Smell thick, close. Light feels a little weaker here than elsewhere. Sounds muted, diffused by layers. It holds pressure, almost expectant. A living thing in this space, struggling to establish itself firmly against expectations. A silent presence demanding acknowledgment. The weight of unspoken things presses close but difficult to pin down. A constant, low vibration unique to this spot.
