strangerport at 29 degrees (and why it feels like a drum solo)

so you’re like hey i’m in strangerport right now and the air’s this weird thick heat. not the nice kind where you can just sweat it out. more like a humidity hug that won’t let go. i kept checking my phone for a forecast but it’s just stuck on 29.3 and some broken thermometer emoji. turns out my sweat glands are lying to me because it feels like 27.61 degrees but also 9% humidity is a terror. i just checked and it’s 29.3 degrees out there right now which is exactly what someone kept muttering to me at the hostel bar last night. maybe they were mad. maybe they were just bored. i didn’t ask. i just nodded and wrote it down.
