lonedrina’s DRY WATERLOOKS: 3446500 AND THE LUNCHBAG OF HELL

@Topiclo Admin3/29/2026blog

so i landed in londrina for what was supposed to be a 48-hour layover before chasing that dublin ghost train i keep dreaming about, but let’s just say my sleep-deprived brain decided today was the day to overpack. 3446500. what even is that number? maybe the number of mosquitoes i’ve killed since arrival? the weather here is this weird 23.41-degree thing where it’s hot enough to make your skin feel like it’s made of ice cream but also so humid that you sweat through your t-shirt even when sitting still. feels-like-24.13, right? i just checked and it’s… there right now, hope you like that kind of thing.

the locals here? i’m still trying to figure out if they’re from a cult or a timezone glitch. neighbors? if you’re a budget student like me, the deal is they’ll throw you a lukewarm coffee if you pretend you’re part of their secret hydration ritual. i heard that some dude in a flannel shirt down the street once tried to start a band using only a trash can and a rubber chicken. neighbor? yeah, that’s the vibe.

i pulled up reviews after seeing a post on some london forum. someone told me that the hostel near the old train station allegedly has ghosts but only if you drink their tap water at 3 a.m. i didn’t believe it until i saw a guy filming himself with a glowstick in the shower last night. drunk advice, totally. another review said the street food here is so good you’ll forget why you care about wine. i linked to tripadvisor because my laptop died and i had to use my friend’s phone. yelp mentioned a place called ‘the pit’ where they serve pastel with a side of existential dread. seems legit.

pêler out here? i saw this unsplash pic of a plant nursery and thought, ‘yes, this is the spot.’ i grabbed three images: one of a fern that looks like it’s judging my life choices, another of a cracked cobblestone street that’s probably older than my motivation to write this, and a third of a dog wearing sunglasses in a park. here they are:
