tips from strangers: don’t ask about the highway.a guy in the laundromat pointed at the roof and said, “that’s the ’unknown phenomenon’ folks tour to see?” not sure what’s even up there. a crow’s nest? a lost astronaut? who knows.
to eat? saw someone pinch a fried pickled bass outta their lunchbox yesterday. not food. vibe. 10/10. also, that dive bar downtown? play tiny acoustic covers of country songs if you want free drinks. the owner’s “haired” a “’real country music’ smackdown” last year and won.
unrelated: the city limits pizza place has a ‘build-a-pie’ section labeled “’ghost toppings’”. one bite of that aioli and rainbow sprinkles combo and i’m just Joe Exotic.
excited for tomorrow: heard whispers about a “outdoor art alley’” where murals compete with weeds. will report back if it’s “harrays” or just a “’raw aesthetic’” the town board denied.
