okay, so i didn't plan to stay long in this little coastal spot-just a quick overnight stop between ferry connections. but here i am, two days later, still here, and i can't seem to leave. it's not fancy, it's not even that famous, but something about it just works. the kind of place where you sit down for a coffee and suddenly it's dinner time and you're still there, watching the same old fisherman walk by with his dog for the third time that day. i just checked and it's 12.61°c there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. feels like 11.91°c if you ask me, which is basically perfect for wandering without sweating through your shirt or freezing your ears off. humidity's at 76%, so maybe bring a light jacket if you're out after dark. the air's got that crisp sea-salt edge that makes everything taste better, even the hotel breakfast toast. if you get bored, thessaloniki and kavala are just a short drive away, but honestly, i wouldn't rush it. i heard from a guy at the bakery that the old lighthouse trail is "the real deal," and another local swore the tiny museum down by the port has a cursed amphora that nobody touches. not sure if i believe that, but i'm not touching it either. someone told me that the best moussaka in town isn't in any tourist guide-it's in the back of a corner shop that only opens after 3pm. and they were right. i've been back twice. the streets are narrow and uneven, the cats are everywhere, and the wifi is sketchy, but somehow that just adds to the charm. i keep thinking i'll leave tomorrow, but tomorrow keeps turning into the next day. maybe i'll stay one more night. maybe two.
