Okay, So This Place... It's Something Else

so i landed here and honestly? i wasn't sure what to expect. the numbers looked kinda random at first-1853992, 1392886423-but turns out they're just coordinates and a timestamp. classic travel blogger moment, right? anyway, the weather's sitting at 8.75°C, feels like 5.66°c, and the humidity's at 78%. so yeah, bring a jacket. i just checked and it's chilly but not freezing, so if you're into that crisp air thing, you'll be fine.

first thing i noticed? the vibe here is low-key weird in the best way. not touristy, not gritty-just real. i heard from a barista that the best coffee is at this tiny spot called *bean & brew, and yeah, it's legit. no frills, just good espresso. if you're into vintage clothes, there's a little shop on the corner of main and 5th that's apparently run by a former circus performer. no joke.

and if you get bored,
osaka and hiroshima are just a short drive away. someone told me the train ride is half the fun-something about misty valleys and old bridges. i haven't tried it yet, but it's on my list.

locals here are... interesting. not overly friendly, not cold-just kinda neutral until you show interest. i overheard a couple at the market talking about this underground art show happening next weekend. no flyers, no socials, just word of mouth. classic.

Rocky coastline with water and mountain views.

food-wise, i'm still recovering from this weird but amazing noodle dish i had last night. the place didn't even have a name on the sign-just a red lantern. if you find it, order the spicy miso. you're welcome.

anyway, this isn't a polished guide. it's just what i've seen so far. if you're into messy, human travel stories, welcome. if you want a perfect itinerary, maybe check
tripadvisor*. but if you want the weird, the real, the slightly off-center stuff? stick around.
