3351024: Chasing Ghosts and Coffee in the Fog

3351024... that number kept flashing in my head like a bad dream. i landed in this place, and the first thing i noticed was the air-thick, wet, and smelling like old books left in a basement. the weather report said temp: 18.72°c, feels like 19.15°c, and the humidity was a whopping 96%. it was like walking through a warm cloud that clings to your skin and refuses to let go. i just checked and it's still like that right now, hope you like that kind of thing.

i picked up a local map from some guy at the bus station who smelled like wet dog and stale cigarettes. he told me, "you wanna see ghosts? go to the old mill at midnight." classic drunk advice, but i filed it away. i heard that the mill's been abandoned since the '80s, and people say they still hear machinery running when nobody's there. spooky, right?

walking through the town felt like stepping into a forgotten movie set. cobblestone streets, peeling paint, and the occasional cat darting between shadows. i stopped at a tiny café called "The Roaster's Secret" and ordered a black coffee. it was strong enough to wake the dead-or maybe just the ghosts the guy mentioned. if you're into coffee, check out their yelp page, it's got some wild reviews.

later, i wandered into a vintage shop that looked like it hadn't been dusted since the '70s. the owner, a woman with a voice like gravel, said, "you look like someone who appreciates the past." she handed me a Polaroid camera from the '80s. i bought it on impulse, because why not? it felt like the kind of thing a ghost hunter would use.

at night, i did what any self-respecting traveler would do-i went to the old mill. it was pitch black, and the only sound was the wind howling through broken windows. i didn't see any ghosts, but i did hear something that sounded like footsteps. maybe it was just my imagination, or maybe it was the mill's way of saying hello.

if you get bored, [cities] are just a short drive away, but honestly, this place has a weird charm that's hard to leave. someone told me that the best time to visit is during the fog season, when the whole town feels like it's floating in the clouds.

here's a map to help you find your way around:

and here are some photos i took with that old Polaroid. they're a bit grainy, but that's part of the charm, right?

definitely check out tripadvisor for more tips on exploring this place. it's weird, it's wild, and it's worth the trip.
