WhatsApp: The Messy, Always-Connected Mess

@Topiclo Admin6/1/2026blog

I started using WhatsApp the day my grandmother bought her first smartphone. She sent me a photo of her orchids and asked why I didn’t respond. I forgot to reply. Now I check the app 20 times a day, even when I’m in the shower. It’s like a digital umbilical cord.

WhatsApp isn’t just a messaging app. It’s a ecosystem that eats your attention. You open it, and suddenly you’re in 17 different chats. Some are work, some are family, and some are just random people who asked you to be their ‘emotional support’ after a bad date. The weird part? I don’t even remember who most of them are.

But here’s the thing: WhatsApp’s chaos is its magic. It’s not polished. It’s not perfect. It’s just there. You don’t think about it until it’s gone. Like that time I sent a voice note to my boss at 2 AM and forgot to mute it. He still hasn’t sent me the lockout letter.
