the messy compass i really follow
okay, right. that place i was down today? yeah, new york. feels like someone kept dragging the baggage. the air smells like burnt coffee and regret. i kept stepping over little cracks in the sidewalk. people go fast, just nods and quick exits, like clocks ticking away. found a tiny mural half-hidden under a broken light post. weird. the view from the high line just shows city sprawl zooming out, lonely even though it shows everyone. this feels heavy, but also strangely familiar in a stupid way. i almost felt lost here, like i was looking for myself without direction, and then just sat there absorbing it all. messy, right?
