Roaming Through 1253783: A Strange Stop Between Two Worlds

so i landed in this weird little blip on the map-1253783. no idea what the name is, but the numbers feel like a secret code. the weather? it's 28.03°C right now, feels like someone left a hairdryer running in a sauna. humidity's at 43%, so not sticky, just... present. if you like dry heat with a side of pressure at 1012 hPa, congrats, you're in the right place.


first thing i noticed? the air smells like burnt sugar and diesel. no idea why. maybe it's the roadside stalls selling jalebi that look like they've been frying since 1953. or maybe it's just the trucks that never stop rolling through. either way, my nose is confused but happy.

locals say the best time to wander is just before sunset, when the sky turns the color of a ripe mango and the streets start smelling like incense and burnt toast. i sat on a crumbling wall, watched kids fly kites that looked like they were made from old newspapers, and thought: this is either the beginning or the end of something. not sure which.
