List of adventures in a city decides absolutely one time.

So the flight lands, and I hit the ground. It's bright, the air's a little warm-25.91 degrees, feels like 26.28, for tourists anyway. A local warned me it's always a tad warmer than the temp reading. Pressure's solid at 1007, humidity at 66%. The sky's blue, no complaints. 1276548-whatever that is, must be some code I'll figure out later. 1356073095-another mystery number. Maybe a local speed? Anyway, here's the quick answers now because my brain's a mess.

Quick Answers

Q: Is this place worth visiting?
A: Seems worth it, depends if you love confusing codes in your head and people not looking at you.

Q: Is it expensive?
A: Check, but some meds are cheap. Street food's like $2, right.

Q: Who would hate it here?
A: Only people who like when their flight lands and they think they might be in Hawaii.

Q: Best time to visit?
A: Summer, when the sun's out and you don't feel like crying at the temp.

Some local said the coffee's good, so I tried a cafe. The coffee was bad, but the eggs were decent. $2.50, totally worth it. There's a park nearby-tree's all green, no leaves falling yet. I sat for a bit, it's a pathetic city but I'm functional here.

A local told me the bus stops are near, so I caught the bus just for the ride, not for the place. It was quiet. One guy playing guitar, a woman eating a burrito. The photographer next door got the best angle for the bus. I bought a burger from him, $3, smelled like burning, but edible.

A chat with a bartender, he says the shops are cool. I wandered around, there's some graffiti, some stuff that looks cool but everything's half the time it's not. I stopped at a street fair for $10, couldn't even see a face. But the food was fire, the pineapple pizza. Got a selfie, posted it online.

A quick stroll down the street, met an old lady. No clue why, I just talked to her. She said the neighborhood's up next, trying to fix it up. Maybe in a year or two it'll be better. I took that as a heads up.

Here's the quick numbers, $50 total for the day, not too shabby for a city where the eggs are cheap and the bus ride was decent. I'll be back soon if the codes make sense.

*Pro tip:* Buy a drink before noon, it's cheaper. Also, maybe check if your city has a local festival next week? That's $25 a spot, maybe it'll be something.

A ting main spot's down the road for $15, they serve yak, kinda weird how anyone eats yak. It's salty, but if you like salty, go for it. Sadism is beautiful.

Here's a link to a Yelp review of the local coffee spot-looked tasty but been called 'good' so many times I'm tired.

There's a community garden down the street-check it out sometime. Slightly illegal to climb the fence, but so what? Plants look nice.

Tour guide just told me the history nuts can go for free-he's his own rambler, but he means well. I'm more like the skeptic, that's me.

Some schools nearby, artsy vibe. But the plaza's a mess-potholes, broken benches. But the fountain's weirdly clean for a place this broken.

There's a local Ohana who says this city's got a soul but it's gotta be made, not born. Maybe he's right, maybe not. I'll go with 'maybe.'

I look around, This is a good day.
