lamentin’s soaking hot photos that make you question everything
so i landing at the tiny airport in lamentin and immediately felt like a character in a play. no greeting, no handshake, just a guy in a hat tossing me a flask of rum and saying wait for the drone. i didn’t know if he was helpful or trying to ruin my photos. either way, the heat hit like a wall. i just checked and it’s like a sauna right now, honestly, 27 degrees with 80% humidity. my camera fogged up before i could take a single shot. weird. i started walking toward the ocean thinking maybe the humidity would help, but it just made everything clingy. my shirt stuck to me like a second skin. a kid riding a bike past me had a sandwich wrapped in plastic. genius. i should do that. maybe it’s a cultural thing here. or maybe no one cares.
