Flea Market Chronicles from Lisbon: Where the Past Wears Better Threads
checked the weather this morning and it’s foggy as hell-10.83 degrees, feels like 10.24 if you’re shivering through the mist. perfect for vintage hunting without breaking a sweat. the market’s alive today, but the stall owners are all buzzing about a new shipment from the ’80s. someone told me that the leather jackets from that era are worth their weight in espresso. not sure if that’s hype or hot garbage, but i dragged my thrifted luran sandals through the crowd anyway.
if you get bored, porto’s ten minutes away with a pie to spare. the guy at the pastry shop kept eyeing my secondhand corduroy jacket and mumbled something about his aunt’s tailor shop. not sure if that’s a compliment or a threat.

pro-tip: haggle like you’re in a telenovela. smiled at a vendor selling vintage cameras and whispered, ‘will you take 30% off?’ he stared at me like i’d offered him a euro. ended up paying 40% less because i pretended i was late for dance practice. works every time.
