dhahran diary: 290215 vibes & random numbers
so i'm sitting here with my laptop open, staring at the date 290215 like it's some kind of secret code. and then there's that number 1048383141... no idea what that's about, but it feels like the universe is trying to tell me something. maybe it's just my brain on too much coffee again. anyway, i'm in dhahran right now, and the weather's doing that weird thing where it says 23.97°C but feels like 23.62°C. basically, it's warm enough to make you sweat but not hot enough to complain about. humidity's at 46%, so my hair's not a total disaster. i just checked and it's...there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. if you're planning to visit, maybe bring a light jacket for the evenings. or don't. i'm not your mom.
someone told me that the best coffee in town is at this little spot called brew lab. apparently, they do this thing with cardamom that'll make your taste buds do a backflip. i haven't been yet, but it's on my list. if you get bored, *dammam and khobar are just a short drive away. not that you'll get bored here. there's always something happening, even if it's just people watching at the corniche. i heard that the corniche gets really crowded on weekends, so maybe go on a weekday if you're not into crowds. or go on the weekend and embrace the chaos. your call. i've been meaning to check out the king abdullah park* too. heard it's a nice spot for a walk or a picnic, but i keep getting distracted by random side streets and little shops. you know how it is. anyway, that's my dhahran ramble for now. maybe next time i'll figure out what 1048383141 means. or maybe i won't. life's more fun when it's a little mysterious, right?
