Córdoba: A Sleep-Deprived Drummer's Guide

alright, so i just got back from córdoba, spain and let me tell you, it's a trip.

Córdoba, Spain

first off, i gotta mention the weather. i just checked and it's a balmy 18.93 degrees there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. humidity's at 97%, so bring a towel or two.

overheard at a bar: "if you're looking for a good time, head to seville or málaga. córdoba's alright, but it's no party city."

anyways, onto the good stuff. i'm a touring session drummer, so i'm always on the lookout for good music spots. here's a few places i hit up: - *el perro andaluz: this place is a vibe. they've got live flamenco shows every night, and the energy is electric. definitely check it out if you're in town. - café berlin: a bit more low-key, but still a great spot for live music. they've got a good mix of local and touring acts.

if you get bored of córdoba (which, let's be real, is pretty hard to do), granada and jaén are just a short drive away. i didn't make it out there this time, but i heard good things.

rumor has it that the mezquita* is a must-see. it's a mosque-cathedral hybrid, and it's apparently stunning.

anyways, that's my two cents on córdoba. it's a cool city with a lot to offer, especially if you're into music and history. just don't forget to bring a towel.
