Berlin Brain Dump: Numbers, Temps, and Unexpected Vibes
okay, where do i even begin? i just got back from berlin, and honestly, my brain feels like a tangled ball of yarn. i saw these two seemingly random numbers - 2745467 and 1528137355 - and it just… sparked something. maybe it's the chaos of the city, maybe it’s the fact that i’m fueled by way too much coffee, but i felt compelled to write.

neighbors were… interesting. i noticed lots of people cycling everywhere. and everyone seemed to be speaking at least three languages. it was a cool mix. if you get bored, cities are just a short drive away. i even saw a guy selling vintage postcards near Alexanderplatz.
people i met - or overheard - had some strong opinions. someone told me that the best currywurst isn't in the touristy areas; you have to venture into the Kreuzberg district. another person, while clearly a little tipsy at a bar in Prenzlauer Berg, advised me to avoid the late-night clubs - "too many people, not enough good vibes." generally, it's a city that rewards exploration and a willingness to get a little lost. someone mentioned a hidden courtyard with amazing street art near Hackesche Höfe.
gear-wise - and this is probably overkill - but if you're heading there:
*Comfortable shoes: you will be doing a lot of walking.
*Portable charger: trust me on this one. i nearly died when my phone died in the middle of exploring.
*Reusable water bottle: stay hydrated!
*Small backpack: for all the souvenirs (and snacks!).
also, i’m finding that the food scene is insane. i tried a döner kebab that changed my life. seriously. and the coffee! oh god, the coffee. i'm definitely going to need to find a local roaster when i get back. i'm thinking of picking up some more gear at a local shop like Fairtrade Coffee Berlin.
