lost in the heat of indore's chaos

i just got off the train in indore and wow-it's like stepping into a blender of smells, sounds, and honking rickshaws. the air is thick, almost syrupy, with that 25°c heat clinging to your skin like a second layer of clothes. i checked the weather and it's...there right now, hope you like that kind of thing.

first stop: sarafa bazaar. someone told me that's where the real magic happens after dark-jewelry shops by day, food stalls by night. i'm talking about poha-jalebi at 3am, which sounds insane but apparently it's a thing. the streets are narrow and crowded, but somehow the chaos feels...alive. like the city itself is breathing through its people.

i heard from a local that rajwada palace is worth a peek, even if it's just to escape the madness for a minute. and speaking of madness, indore's traffic? don't even get me started. it's like everyone's in a race but no one knows the finish line. still, there's something oddly charming about it-like the city's got its own rhythm and you either dance to it or get run over.

if you get bored, ujjain and mandu are just a short drive away, and they've got their own stories to tell. ujjain with its ancient temples, mandu with its ruins whispering secrets of old kingdoms. but honestly? i'm still stuck in indore's grip. there's too much here to leave just yet.

i also heard that the street food here can make or break your trip. one vendor swore his samosas were "the reason tourists come back," but another warned me about the "chilli that bites back." so yeah, i'm taking my chances.

this place doesn't do subtle. it's loud, it's messy, it's unapologetically itself. and maybe that's why i kind of love it.
