so i just checked and it's...there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. 31.19°c, feels like 29.45°c. basically, it's tropical sauna mode. humidity's a measly 24%, but that just means your laptop will fry faster than a street vendor's pad thai. pressure's 1013, sea level, so no storms brewing, just sweat. grnd level's 998, which is basically ground zero for humidity anxiety.

if you get bored, bangkok and chiang rai are just a short drive away. someone told me that the bangkok traffic is so bad, even the tuk-tuks need a nap. i heard that from a guy who got stuck behind a cow parade. seriously.

- waterproof phone case (because sweat is the new rain)
- portable charger (because outlets are as rare as a cool breeze)
- noise-cancelling headphones (to block out the constant drone of tuk-tuks and your own desperation)

pro-tip: if you're staying near the old city, avoid the 'local' coffee shops. someone told me they use instant coffee and regret. i tried one, and it tasted like burnt regret. yelp reviews confirm it's a gamble.
