San Francisco's Weather Woes and Wanderlust

woke up at 3 AM to the sound of my own snoring and the city's foghorn. checked the weather app: 10.83°C, feels like 10.14°C. yeah, that's right, it's basically the same temp as my coffee this morning. humidity's at 83%, so it's like hugging a damp towel. pressure's 1017, which sounds like a fancy wine, but it's just air. sea level and ground level are basically twins here. i just checked and it's...there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. if you get bored, oakland is just a short drive away, or maybe just walk to the next block, it's that exciting. someone told me that the best burrito in the city is hidden behind a laundromat, but i heard that from a guy who also claimed his cat was a secret agent. i'm not saying i believe it, but i also didn't say i didn't.

*gear list (because i'm a digital nomad, not a minimalist):
- one laptop that's seen better days
- a backpack that smells like last week's coffee
- a phone charger that's probably going to die
- a notebook filled with half-baked ideas
- a hoodie that's seen more airports than i care to count

pro tip: if you're feeling adventurous, try the sourdough bread bowl at that place near the pier. someone told me it's life-changing, but i heard that from a seagull. seriously, though, check out the sourdough bread bowl at Boudin Bakery. it's a tourist trap, but the bread is legit.

overheard gossip: the barista at that cute little cafe downtown? someone told me they might be a ghost. i'm not saying i believe it, but i also didn't say i didn't.

local vibe: the weather's got this moody, artistic vibe. it's like the city's constantly brooding, which is perfect for wandering around with a coffee and a notebook.

final thought*: the weather's a bit meh, but the city's got soul. grab a coffee, embrace the fog, and wander. it's messy, it's real, and it's kinda beautiful in its own grumpy way.
