midnight wanderings in buffalo

i just stepped off the train and the air feels like walking into a freezer that forgot to turn off. i just checked and it's...still hanging around, hope you like that kind of thing. the locals swear the chill is part of the city's secret recipe, and if you get restless, neighboring towns are only a quick drive away. someone told me that the old bakery on main street serves the best pretzels at midnight, i heard that the night market near the canal turns into a neon jungle after dark. the streets are quiet but the murals keep whispering stories, and a few drunk tourists keep shouting about how the river lights look like fireflies. i swung by the tiny coffee shop on elm, they serve a brew that tastes like burnt sugar and nostalgia. if you’re hunting for a spot to shoot, the bridge over the canal gives you a perfect silhouette against the foggy sky. i’m jotting down a few spots for my next photo walk, maybe you’ll catch me there.
