woke up this morning to the sound of rain drumming on the tin roof, which is basically the city's heartbeat. checked my phone, and it's...there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. 26.76 degrees, feels like a sauna at 29.63. humidity's clinging like a second skin, 85% thick enough to slice. pressure's steady at 1007, sea level matching the ground level. feels like the air's got a permanent hangover. if you get bored, [cities] are just a short drive away, but honestly, why leave this damp, vibrant mess? someone told me that the local coffee snobs swear the rain makes the beans taste like liquid sunshine. i heard that too, while dodging puddles near the old market. the barista gave me a look like i was crazy for asking for an iced latte in this. reviews? well, the yelp page's a rollercoaster. one person said 'the best coffee in town, worth the soggy walk,' while another moaned 'dripping wet and overpriced.' classic. i mean, who doesn't love a good coffee debate in the drizzle? i just grabbed a pastry from that place everyone whispers about - 'the one with the slightly burnt croissants.' rumor has it the baker's a grumpy old soul who yells at pigeons. i didn't see him, but the croissant was decent. maybe. the city's got this vibe, you know? it's not polished. it's got character, like a slightly worn-out leather jacket. the streets smell like salt, old books, and something fried. the map's pinned somewhere near the old port, where the fishermen still argue politics louder than the seagulls. check it out:
