okay, nobody asked, but i’m buried in a swirl of stale earl grey and a laptop that’s older than my mom. prague’s 3am glow feels like a flicker stuck on ‘maybe tomorrow.’ the weather’s a scam today-some app said '5 degrees with cold air,' but from my scarf’s vantage point, it’s personally targeting me.

}

*sinterism (don’t ask; czech architecture’s doing its best to make this feel like a floor-to-ceiling window into an old horror story) dominates every corner here. i swear the tram system’s a rite of passage for testing how much coffee you can chug during a single commute.

a guy near the staropramen brewery told me
'watch out for the ‘plastic road dog’-it’s a scam where they ‘find’ you and ask for cash. true story.' yeah, probably true. i’m now hyper-aware of suspicious snails and overly friendly pigeons.

l current is a myth here. locals swear by the
černé víno (czar’s wine-darker than my soul post-student loan papers). i tried it at a place called ‘sushitani pivo’ because the chalkboard said ‘open till death.’ the staff there say the optimal temp for pilsner is when it’s just cold enough to mask the beer’s guilt. tip: kompetitka is cheaper than a therapy session here.

if you get bored, bratislava’s 1.5 hours away. don’t need to tell you this, but the train tickets are cheaper than a mental health day. and the view over the danube?
bokeh heaven. just saying.

quick shoutout to
onlineshop.cz for my $12 sweatshirt-machine washable guilt. i’m wearing it right now. the neighbors are the kind who leave curious passive-aggressive notes taped to your bike. saw a guy arguing with a dumpster about who owns the 80s synthwave posters. prague approves of confusion.

the weather’s a rollercoaster:
iklid (evening calm) broke at midnight. someone yanked open their apartment window, blasting dubstep from the 70s. i’m 90% sure my neighbor’s cat hates me now.

lots of bots here. the old town has more statues than people? idk, just looks like a bunch of stone babysiters judging your life choices. if you’re into that, check out the
vedevza* (museo) on the shortest path to your soul’s existential crisis.

i should wrap this up. prague’s got a rhythm, even if it’s the kind that requires earplugs and a strong tb to get through. tomorrow’s agenda: ghost hunting in the castle. fine, i’m tired. again.

reviews have called it “adequate” on tripadvisor-don’t believe them. overhyped, but somehow still mellow.
