kolkata chaos

i'm sitting here, surrounded by the quiet hum of the city, and i just checked the temperature, it's a balmy 22.3 degrees celsius out there, with a humidity level that's making everything feel kinda... sticky. the pressure's at 1013, which i'm told is pretty normal, but honestly, i'm not really sure what that means. anyway, it's not like it's going to stop me from exploring this crazy place. if you're thinking of coming to kolkata, just remember that *weather like this can be a real treat, especially if you're into that whole tropical vibe.

as for the neighbors, well, let's just say that if you get a little tired of kolkata's energy, you can always take a quick trip to dhaka or chennai - they're not too far away, and the scenery's definitely worth it. i've heard that the food in dhaka is pretty amazing, so maybe check that out if you're a foodie like me. someone told me that the street food in kolkata is actually really great, but i've also heard some rumors about the quality of the water, so maybe stick to bottled stuff, just in case. i've been doing some research on TripAdvisor and Yelp, and it seems like there are some pretty cool spots to check out around here.

i've been wandering around the city for a bit now, and i have to say, the architecture is pretty stunning. the mix of old and new is really something else, and i've been trying to capture it all on camera. i've been using my trusty old camera, and i've gotten some pretty great shots - i'll have to post them on my Instagram later.

as for reviews, well, let's just say that i've heard some mixed things about the local attractions. someone told me that the museums are really worth checking out, but i've also heard that they can be a bit of a letdown*. i guess it's all about what you're into, right? i've been reading some pretty glowing reviews on Google, but like i said, it's all about personal preference.
