the moment i stepped off the train in hyderabad, the air hit me like a warm blanket. not exactly fresh, but alive. 20.64°c says the weather app, but it felt like 25 with all the humidity hanging around. i just checked and it's still muggy out there, hope you like that kind of thing. the streets were already buzzing with rickshaws weaving through traffic like they were in a video game. someone told me that the best biryani in town is at paradize, but another local swore by shah ghouse. i heard that the latter's been around since the '90s and still slaps. if you get bored, bangalore and mumbai are just a short drive away, but honestly, hyderabad's got enough going on for a week. i wandered through the old city, past the charminar, where the crowds were thick and the smell of kebabs was everywhere. a street artist i met said the graffiti scene here is blowing up, but you gotta know where to look. i found a tiny chai stall tucked behind a mosque, run by a guy who's been brewing for 40 years. he laughed when i asked for a "small" cup. for photos, i snapped a few shots of the bustling lanes and the intricate mosque tiles. if you're into history, the qutb shahi tombs are worth the trip, though i heard they're a bit run-down these days. anyway, here's a map to get your bearings:
