Baku's secret skate spots & weird weather quirks

sunrise hit the streets of baku like a cheap espresso shot and i rolled out with my board under my arm. the air was *chill but the wind had a bite that made my teeth chatter. i just checked and it's buzzing right now, hope you like that kind of thing. the humidity was through the roof, 92 percent, so everything felt slick, perfect for sliding into a canyon of alleyways.

someone told me that the old
carpet museum is haunted at night, but i think it's just the echo of my board. the locals swear the skate park behind the old oil museum is the real spot, and if you get bored, nearby towns are just a short drive away. i heard that the cafe on fountain square serves the best tea, but the line never stops. stay low and watch your grip, they say.

i stumbled onto a tiny
bazaar where the vendor was selling hand‑painted skate decks and shouting ‘grab a bite, grab a ride!’. the vibe was wild, the smell of saffron mixed with fresh‑cut grass from the park. grab a snack before the sun sets, or you’ll miss the sunset light on the caspian horizon.
