tides & whispers along the foggy shore
okay, so i stumbled upon something weird today near that old lighthouse keeper's cottage, you know. right there by this weird little bay full of fog, smelling like wet earth and maybe old books. nobody walks that path unless you're chasing ghosts or just lost. the kind of place where time feels like itās stuck in that thick, damp sludge. i just checked and itās... okay, kind of okay. the currentās a lurching thing, throws everything off balance, makes it hard to see my own footsteps. itās like the place itself resists you, tries to make you hesitate, maybe even laugh a little. you try to walk along, then decide to step right back in, muttering about why you didn't take the detour. that neighborhood square at sunset - if you get bored, cities are just a short drive away. but sometimes, when iām down there, something feels off, like a shadow passing through, invisible but close. the smell even changes, weirdly, something about that salt and silliness, gotta remember that. it made me feel a weird connection, like i was finally connecting, but it just got messier. i started pulling my coat tighter, listening to the lapping waves mixed with that high-pitched whistle some kids make, but nothing really happens. no oneās there really. just the wind hissing through the pins. itās messy. itās weird. i keep thinking about the weather inside, that stale dampness, and how it clings. i swear if i leave my keys on the porch, the fog might swallow them whole. some places feel alive in a way that hurts. i end up back there anyway. a long walk home now, mind still buzzing. i need to document this, but i guess documenting messy things is kinda the point. hope you like that kind of thing. maybe your neighbor near there, theyāre just keeping quiet, too. some spots just donāt let you go easy. iāll see what happens. found a little map corner under a driftwood log. maybe clue in? got a bit of coffee snob vibes, kinda.
