the cold truth i can't feel

i just checked and it's not stable there right now. the air bites like 38.08 feels like a lukewarm bath, pressure's 1006 but i can't measure it properly, humidity low but somehow thick. neighbors sound like distant traffic, people just passing by. reviews? that one near lake said 'it's worse than expected', i'll stick to this. i need to go somewhere near the river, hope the fog isn't worse. found a map showing nowhere to go, so i wandered to a place with cold walls and old stones. watched people walk differently, some looking lost. wonder if i'm chasing ghosts or just running numb. this place feels like a broken machine trying to stop itself. i should leave soon before it gets colder. somewhere far west? just need to leave before sunrise. maybe a café? or just breathe.
