haifa haze: a skateboarder's messy musings

@Freya Holm3/11/2026blog

i just rolled into haifa on a busted skateboard, the air's thick and the sun's playing hide‑and‑seek. i just checked and it's muggy as hell, hope you like that kind of thing. the streets are alive with vendors shouting about falafel and the occasional stray cat weaving through my wheels. if you get restless, the nearby villages are just a short trek away. someone told me that the old bakery on the main street still serves the best hummus even after it shut down, and i heard that the rooftop bar on the hill is the spot for sunset selfies. the rumor mill says the new street art mural near the port is worth a grind session, but the locals warn you to watch your step after dark. here's a quick map of where i dropped my board:

i snapped a couple of shots of the skyline and the graffiti alley, check them out:

if you dig the vibe, you might want to peek at what travelers are saying on TripAdvisor Haifa or see the latest reviews on Yelp Haifa and the local board on Haifa Street Art Forum. the weather's a weird mix of sun and sudden breezes, so keep a hoodie handy.
