c saturday morning struck: a street artist’s messy mornings in cancun
woke up to the sound of spray paint hissing on a wall somewhere outside my tiny hostel room in cancun. couldn’t tell if it was the ocean wind or some dumb tourist jabbing at a mural. decided to check it out. stumbled through a maze of abandoned buildings and a half-finished skatepark until i found this crusty old mural of a parrot. spray paint drying in the sun like missing tooth flakes. some guy in a speedo told me it’s over 20 years old. i barely believed it. probably hallucinating. i just checked and it’s…that sticky, humid kind of stuff, right now. hope you like that kind of thing.
