Tropical City: Where the Air Feels Like a Hug from a Humid Friend
so yeah, i just checked the weather for tropical city. it's...26.57 degrees celsius. feels like 26.57. min and max are the same. humidity's at 65%. pressure's 1012. sea level same. ground level lower. basically, it's a sauna with a view. hope you like that kind of thing. i mean, it's not exactly arctic, right? but hey, the locals swear it's perfect. someone told me that if you get bored, a quick hop to [city] is possible. just a short drive away. or maybe you'll find yourself getting lost in the backstreets instead. that's usually more fun anyway. i heard that from a guy who got lost for three hours and ended up at the best street food stall ever. seriously, the reviews are all over the place. someone told me that the coffee here is life-changing. another person i overheard at the bus stop said it's overpriced and bitter. drunk advice, i guess. but then again, i saw a yelp review raving about a tiny cafe tucked away near the old market. someone else warned me about the main square at night. 'stay away after dark,' they muttered, looking shifty. i mean, i haven't been there yet, but i'll take that as a challenge. maybe i'll check it out. or maybe i'll just wander the botanical gardens instead. they say it's beautiful, especially with this humidity. the plants are lush, like they're sweating too. i saw a map link to the botanical gardens on the local board. someone mentioned it's a must-see. i'm not sure yet. i'm more focused on finding a decent coffee shop that doesn't break the bank. budget student mode, remember? but hey, i'm a digital nomad now. sort of. i'm trying. anyway, if you're into that sort of thing, check out the local board for hidden gems. or just wander. that's usually where the best stuff is. oh, and the map link for the city center is here. someone said the old town is charming, even if it's a bit touristy. i'll believe that when i see it. for now, i'm just trying to stay cool and find a place with air conditioning that doesn't cost a fortune. wish me luck. and maybe bring a towel.
