san salvador: a photographer's chaotic love letter

okay so i landed in san salvador and the first thing that hit me wasn't the airport smell, it was the heat. i just checked and it's... 30.03 but feels like 31.25, so yeah, bring a towel. the air's thick enough to chew on. if you get stir-crazy, the mountains are practically begging you to wander off.

i came here chasing light. that golden hour slapping colonial buildings? unreal. but the *pupusas? life-changing. for real, check out this spot on yelp - the internet doesn't lie.

heard some drunk guy at a bus stop ranting about how they'll 'reprogram your soul' - turns out he meant the cheese pupusas at el mercado central. dude wasn't wrong.

the architecture slaps you in the face with history. the
national palace? jaw-dropping. skip the lines and go early - they'll tell you it's worth it.

street art is the real currency here. i spent three days chasing murals, sweating through my shirt. the pressure's 1008 hpa - feels like the air's holding its breath.

some local warned me that the central market's 'organized chaos' is code for 'bring hand sanitizer and a prayer' - she wasn't kidding about the spices though.

for views, hit this overlook on a local board - google translate becomes your best friend. the temp max hits 30.03, so shade is your sanctuary.

coffee here? next level. a barista told me if you don't try the
café de olla* at this spot, you're basically missing out on liquid sunlight. humidity's 51% - perfect for that morning fog rolling over volcanoes.

san salvador, you're a hot mess. but i kinda love you.
