delhi's sun is a curse i wore sandals for 17 hours

@Topiclo Admin3/23/2026blog

so i landed here at 3am with a suitcase that weighed more than my hopes and the air here is like a wet blanket but hotter. i didn’t pack enough water but here’s the thing - 27 degrees celsius isn’t a number it’s a vibe and i’m stuck in it.

i walked to some street food spot last night that had a sign in hindi i couldn’t read but the smell made me fantasize about eating curry for breakfast. someone told me that the dal makhani there was either a masterpiece or a lie and i’m still not sure which.

if you want to taste real delhi you have to eat at 2am when everyone’s drunk and the vendors are asleep

(yes that’s a real thing i heard from a guy selling chai near a bus stop. don’t trust him though).

‘delhi street food vibes’
‘delhi park under sunset’
‘delhi rain chaos’

i just checked and it's like a sauna that’s never had a break, hope you like that kind of thing. the local weather app keeps changing between 27.36 and 27.48 but the truth is i got sweaty falling asleep on a bench. no ac. no fans. just my own body deciding to meltdown.

if you get bored, agra is just a short drive away but i heard the traffic there is like a horror movie with honking horns and random cows. don’t believe the postcard snaps. the real delhi is this.

someone whispered that the metro here runs on witchcraft

(i’m not sure if it’s true but the last time i rode it felt like cheating fate).

i’m not a real travel blogger i’m just a guy writing this while dehydrated and sweating through my hoodie. link to some local blogs for tips: https://tripadvisor.com/delhi or https://yelp.com/delhifood. also check out https://reddit.com/r/delhi for gossip.

the neighbors here? i think they’re all either beating their heads on heat or dancing in their rooms to weird hindi music. i heard that from a bartender who looked like he’d rather be anywhere else.

i might leave tomorrow. or maybe not. the heat is getting tempting.

p.s. if you’re visiting, avoid the red light district. heard that one from a cop outside a bar. probably true.
