wanderlust in chennai: chaotic streets and midnight snacks

just stepped off the train and the air feels like a warm hug that refuses to let go, i just checked and it's ...buzzing with humidity, hope you like that kind of thing. if you get bored, the next town over is just a short drive away. someone told me that the night market smells like fried dough and nostalgia, i heard that the old lighthouse still plays phantom organ music on windy evenings. the streets are alive with honking scooters and the scent of jasmine from a nearby *temple, and the tiny cafƩ on the corner serves chai that tastes like sunrise. the pier at sunset is where locals gather to argue about the best filter for their Instagram stories. don't miss the street vendor who claims his mango sticky rice is the reason you keep coming back. grab a seat* at the little shack that serves spicy noodles and watch the world drift by.

a very tall building with a very tall tower
brown concrete posts during daytime
green and black dragonfly on white wooden surface during daytime
