Denver Dreams & Digital Dust (A Rambling Post)

okay, so, denver. where do i even start? i just landed, and honestly, i feel like i’ve walked into a slightly hazy, very sunny painting. the air smells like pine and… well, maybe just good vibes, but it’s definitely a fresh kind of smell. the weather? i just checked and it’s… brisk but surprisingly pleasant, a little bit like a crisp autumn day decided to stick around. hope you like that kind of thing.

figured i’d document this whirlwind trip, mostly because my brain feels like a scrambled egg right now. i got these two strings of numbers stuck in my head: 5820705 and 1840038324. no idea what they mean, but they’re just bouncing around. maybe it’s a code? a grocery list? who knows!

The city itself is a mix of everything. you’ve got these super modern buildings jutting up against older brick ones, and then little pockets of weirdness tucked away. i'm staying near LoDo - it's definitely got that ‘tourist-but-also-cool’ energy. google maps is my new best friend.

*First Impressions: the people are chill. like, genuinely calm. there’s this whole ‘wellness’ thing going on, which i’m still trying to wrap my head around, but hey, i’m all for peaceful vibes. found a decent coffee spot on Yelp - The Daily Grind, apparently they roast their own beans. Worth checking out if you need a caffeine fix. https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-daily-grind-denver

Gear/Essentials (aka what i crammed into my backpack):

Reusable water bottle (crucial, especially with that altitude!)
Layers, layers, layers. Denver weather is unpredictable.
Comfy shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking.
Portable charger. Seriously.
A good book. For those moments of zen.

*Overheard Gossip:* I heard that the best tacos in the city are at a little hole-in-the-wall place downtown. Someone told me that you have to be prepared to wait in line for at least an hour. Honestly, it sounded terrifying but delicious.

Spent yesterday wandering around the RiNo Art District - the street art is insane! seriously, look it up.

Also, a local warned me about the altitude sickness. Apparently, it can hit you fast if you’re not careful. They suggested drinking lots of water and avoiding strenuous activity on the first day. good to know, i guess.

The neighbors here are a mix of artists, young professionals, and just generally cool people. It seems like everyone’s got a story. If you get bored, Boulder is just a short drive away - lots of hiking trails and quirky shops there. check out https://www.bouldervibes.com/ for ideas.

this whole trip feels a little surreal, like i’m living in someone else’s dream. i might wander into a vintage shop later. or just people-watch. either way, it’s good to be here.

Also, according to TripAdvisor, the Denver Botanic Gardens is pretty sweet if you need a break from city life. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g45796-d108408-Reviews-Denver_Botanic_Gardens-Denver_Colorado.html

planning on checking out some local music venues later. maybe even try to find a busking spot nearby (don’t judge).

anyway… gotta go. adventure awaits (or maybe just a really good burrito).
